Orcanize & Destroy

Orcanize & Destroy is an arcade side-scroller "eat'em up". Take control of an orca in a human-infested ocean and liberate your species from these invaders.

The game is not really optimized to run on the web browser, and it might not work on some platforms, so I recommend downloading it

Default controls (can be changed in-game):

• Z / X: accelerate / decelerate
• Left / Right: rotate
• Up: roll / dodge
• Space bar: boost
• Escape: pause (P if playing on browser)

Simplified touch controls (WIP)

• Click/press where you want to go
• Double-click/double-tap to boost
• Roll and pause using the regular keyboard controls

This game is in alpha state and so it's not finished yet. This is just a demo version meant to show the game to people and obtain feedback. There will be bugs.

Basics

Hit boats to damage and destroy them, but you will be damaged as well. Eat humans to heal. Occasionally, the opportunity to save fellow orcas from humans will appear: saving them provides you with extra lives, allowing you to continue the run even after dying.

Progression

You will gain wanted levels as you destroy enemies. As your wanted level increases, so will the variety and difficulty of enemies. At first you will only fight against yatches and unsuspecting rich guys, but soon you will encounter more menacing types of boats and weapons aimed at you.

Note: there is currently no more progression after reaching 5 stars. That's the current state of the game. More content will be added in the future.

You will also gain adrenaline by playing offensively. The more you have, the less damage you will receive and the more powerful your boost will be. Adrenaline decays over time if you don't gain any for a short amount of time.

Movement

Movement is an important element of this game, as you will be required to swim, jump, and perform stunts in order to surpass your enemies. Through your play, you will also set records related to your movement (highest jumps, best stunts, etc.), providing secondary goals which you can check in the High scores screen and compare with your friends and with internet strangers.
